About Us:

Pine Way Group is a non-profit 501c3 dedicated to the health and mental well-being of male youth.  Licensed by the State of Michigan as a residential Child Caring Institution (CCI) Pine Way Group offers a therapeutic placement for young males requiring a structured home setting or a respite from their current home environment.  Pine Way Group provides over 30 years of specialized behavioral health treatment and child welfare experience to each youth through a personalized treatment plan and daily individualized activities.  Combined each youth receives a unique combination of child and adolescent behavioral health stabilization, residential care and community-based social services.   

 

Location

Pine Way Group offers two residential treatment home locations; located adjacent to one another, both homes are licensed for 6 beds each through Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and certified as Children’s Therapeutic Group Homes. The fully furnished homes (each) contains 6 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, kitchen and breakfast bar, shared living area, therapy room, education home/school room, and activity room.  The homes share parking and outdoor activity areas.  The intentional adjacent configuration allows Pine Way Group to maintain on-site overview and management while ensuring the environment is safe and advantageous to youth therapeutic treatment. 

 

Staffing:

Pine Way Group employs culturally competent staff to provide treatment services and activities as outlined by MDHHS for Children’s Crisis Residential Homes.  Pine Way Group works closely with Western Michigan University (WMU) - Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Social Work to source committed staff to positively support and impact youth placed within the Crisis Residential Home. Additionally, licensed nurses, psychiatrist, clinical social workers, and psychologist are contracted to provide clinically-supervised services and treatment evaluation to Pine Way youth.
